hg age 3 orbital WIP 3

it's been two weeks now since i ordered my paints online and have yet to wait for it to come. Sadly this means I won't be able to finish up in time i had originally planed out in my first WIP.  My trip is tomorrow so this will be the last post for a while. Also I got bored and applied some stickers to the already painted parts which i did not plan to do at first.

I know there's a bit of silvering because of the stickers but a spraying of flat top coat will fix that. Thanks for reading, my next post will be in February. I'll also be sure to post up the gundam models I'm bringing back

hg age 3 orbital WIP 2

Hi, back again this time i would like to point out some things with the model. i noticed that the mid hip section has part of the red piece in grey and also the grey under piece in the two boosters or jet packs has the mid section in red so i will be applying the same to my model to keep things as accurate as possible to the box art.

You can see the red easier this is from the box art i just took a close up.

Gonna paint the section red 

The open section will be painted grey

Err.. first post so nervous well here it is this is my WIP on the high grade age 3 orbital hope u like it. This is my second high grade gundam I've ever painted and so far so good no problems apart from my cheap $25 airbrush which keeps getting clogged. I'm planning to finish this project up around in the next week since I'm leaving for japan to have a shopping frenzy on kits and stuff

used 2 coats of mr surfacer 1000 one thicker (2 parts primer to 1 part thinner) and the next one thinner (1 part primer to 2 parts thinner)

I airbrushed 2 coats of blue i used mr color cobalt blue 70%, white 25% and 5% florescent pink and panel washed with tamiya flat black enamel

Coat of red used mr color monza red 

this part has been masked off and the exposed area will be painted with flat black.

painted it and took off the masking and looks pretty good.
